Sandra Bland, a 28 year old who lived with her family in suburban Chicago, traveled to Waller County seeking a new job. According to Bland's sister, Sandra got the job she was looking for and was very "euphoric". However, months earlier Sandra Bland had posted in Facebook she suffered from depression and traumatic stress disorder. Authorities stated that Sandra Bland was found dead in her cell three days after being arrested; however family members and racism opposers, mostly people of color, argued that Sandra was very enthusiastic for the new job opportunity she had acquired and believed she had to much to live for and would have never taken her own life. Therefore they strongly questioned her death.
