Into the wild

Chris McCandless seems like one of those types of guys that does everything on there own. For example the canoe instead getting rides to California he used a canoe to travel through the ocean and make his journey that way. He also seemed like he was tired of society and wanted to experience a life where money wasn't a complete necessity like the rest of society thinks, so he decided to live with what he has. He was also a man that didn't really take things from people for example all the rides he was offered to his next destination but declined most. This made me feel that his destination wasn't exactly as important as his journey to his destination, he mentioned that taking a plane would ruin the whole trip instead of hitch hiking.
