Chris McCandless was a young man who was against modern society since he decided to go live in Alaska. He though that money wasn't needed to survive in this world he donated and burn the last piece of money he had in his wallet. The people he met as he journey to Alaska was Jim Gallien, he offered Chris a couple of stuff since he saw Chris wasn't well prepared for the wild which was going into Alaska.
