Frequently Asked Questions: reflection on research

The resources in our reader are targeted for high school seniors, and I am looking at doctorate programs, so I wasn't able to find much of what I was looking for on these sites.

I am looking specifically at the programs at UCLA, USC, and Cal Poly Pomona.  I found some helpful information at USC's site.

In particular, their tuition page showed me that the program I am interested in costs over $70,000.

However, since my wife works at USC, I qualify for a 50% reduction in tuition - so the cost would be closer to $35,000.

Next, I need to find out how much UCLA & Cal Poly Pomona would cost.  I might not go with the least expensive program, but if either program is significantly less expensive than USC, that would make a difference.

I also know now that I may need to save $35,000, or get that much in grants or scholarships.
